Anu - Teenager with Skin Disease

Anu is now 15 yr old and lives with her parents in Bangalore. She is suffering from a disease, that none of the doctors have given a proper name. She goes through mental as well as physical agony day by day.

Anu was born in USA. She was the second child to her parents. She was a normal healthy child until 4 months, when she developed a small patch of roughness on her neck. Her parents assumed it to be heat rashes and ignored until six months as it started to grow into a patch of rough skin and spread all over the body. She was taken to a local doctor who said it will disappear as she grows and suggested some medicines for the rashes. But it didn't get better, it grew worse. When the baby was 9 months old she knew how to scratch and that made it even more difficult for the parents. She was fine during the summers and winter days made her life terrible. They took her to a doctor who was a skin specialist from UK. He gave an injection that should have cured her completely but it gave relief only for a month. The injection makes the bones weaker said the doctor. But unable to see their little girl suffer, the parents went for it.

All the allergy tests were found to be normal. And soon they left US and came back to India when Anu was 3 ½ years old. They took her to Conoor a hill station in Tamil Nadu. The sudden climate change affected her little body a lot, and she even developed boils with puss in it. But after sometime, the puss came out and she was normal for 2 wonderful years. Then they had to move to Bangalore as a family and her skin started to get dry and itchy leaving patches all over her body again. Ayurvedic treatment resulted in a temporary relief with boils, pusses and healing... Phototherapy treatment failed when she was in 8th std. By then her brother came to know about the power of Jesus and got saved. He spoke with his mother and his little sister and they also believed that Jesus will heal her.

Doctors counsel them to move into coastal regions, so that the climate there will suit her body.

When she was in class 9, her parents started homeopathy treatment which dried her skin more and made her skin more worse. But then a prophesy came that God will heal her in 210 days. The whole family believed it and waited in faith and stopped taking the homeo medicines. But the healing did not happen even after professing the faith to many friends and relatives. The whole family crushed in disappointment. She is still continuing to suffer from the disease, which one doctor said it might be a type of eczima. But the other doctors do not accept this disease as eczima.

Anu is now a teenager, she loves to live a normal life like other girls of her age. She is a very bright student in the school. She believes that Jesus will heal her one day. She is looked with disgust by the onlookers. She cries her sorrow out in the bathroom leaving the taps open, so that her parents do not hear her. Her physical pain and mental agony is quenched by the faith that she has in Jesus. Her mother calls New Hope TV for prayer. She requested us to tell everyone and pray for her daughter, that her faith be strengthened and that God gives her a normal life and wants her daughter to become a doctor in future.
